About US
where love for precision and aesthetics converge
our founder
Andrew Stassi’s journey is quite unique. It is a blend of his skills as a micropigmentation practicioner combined with his prior career knowledge, technical precision, creative design and his relentless drive for improvement.

His career began in the late 1970s in electronics and electrical engineering. This technical foundation honed his appreciation for quality, innovation and problem-solving. By the mid-1980s, Andrew ventured into designing for the textile industry. This awakened his creative and artistic flair and he moved into a new level of business, from production through to global distribution.
In 2003, Andrew discovered the world of micropigmentation, where his love for precision and aesthetics converged. Starting as a technician, he quickly rose to prominence as a skilled artist. He became an educator and an innovator in his field.
Andrew’s expertise and dedication to advancing the industry earned him respect amongst his peers and leading authorities worldwide. Driven by a thirst for knowledge and improvement, he expanded into aesthetic medicine and anti-ageing treatments, solidifying his reputation as a versatile and forward-thinking professional.
Frustrated by the limitations of existing equipment, Andrew re-visited his engineering and technical roots to problem-solve. He began designing and manufacturing high-end devices and consumables. His mission was clear; to create equipment that prioritised both functionality and ergonomic comfort for professionals. He created needles that are revolutionary and fit for purpose that push boundaries in procedural excellence.

Andrew’s vision and passion are equally shared by his business partner Dawn Forshaw, COO of DermaMaster.

Creation of THE Dermamaster pro
In 2016, Andrew focused on developing prototypes for wired micropigmentation devices and plasma pens but, when the industry embraced wireless technology, he identified a significant gap in the market. The wireless devices were heavy, bulky, and uncomfortable for prolonged use, particularly for technicians with smaller hands.
Determined to address these issues, Andrew manufactured a device that combined aesthetic appeal, ergonomic design, and exceptional performance.
The result is the Dermamaster Pro.

“Excellence is built on reliability and performance. That’s why the DermaMaster Pro was designed to be more than a device.
It’s a trusted partner in your artistry and skillset.”

DEVELOPMENT JOURNEY
DESIGNING A DEVICE FOR PRACTITIONERS
Andrew Stassi - CEO of DermaMaster Ltd
Having been involved in the micropigmentation industry for over twenty years, I’ve used all types of machines and devices. As the industry has evolved, I’ve also tried and tested a lot of the latest wireless devices, which I found to be very bulky and cumbersome to work with due to pull-back from the heavy weight of the batteries.
As a practitioner and a trainer, I saw an opportunity to greatly improve the design and comfort of hand-held devices. I felt that practitioners needed an ergonomically balanced and lightweight device – so I designed one. I could not decide on the colour so I chose three precious metals that I know you would love to own. I even designed a sturdy device rest which is machined from a solid block of aircraft aluminium. I wanted something very stylish and highly functional with a good sturdy weight to support the device during procedures, and as a resting station when not in use.
With my super lightweight portable device giving me power and performance, I set about designing a range of needle cartridges.
NEEDLE RANGES
Due to limitations I was encountering during my micropigmentation career, my mission was to develop needles that would make the professional’s task easier, with better ergonomics and functionality. I wanted to create unique needles that would offer the technician the means to create fine detail with greater accuracy and in a fraction of the time.
I also wanted to try and improve client comfort during treatment which was an area I felt needed addressing.
Now, with my needles, clients can have crisp, fine eyebrow hair-strokes and precision implantation microdots for SMP in less discomfort, with minimal trauma to the skin and therefore a faster healing time.
My new needle cartridges have been developed with longer tapers, where necessary, for smoother entry into the skin, which minimises trauma whilst delivering finer detail. I have achieved this by creating narrower diameter needles with longer tapers and higher welding points to hold the needle configuration more tightly. These improvements in manufacture mean the internal needle guides reduce vibration and sideways fluctuations, allowing for greater stability and accuracy. Also, the finer nozzle holes combined with the silicone rubber needle grips, which regulate airflow, reduce splatter and pigment pooling on the skin for better visibility of the work.
Needle Ranges
13 CLASSIC NEEDLES
The Classic needles in the DermaMaster range have been created based on my research of the most popular configurations.
They encompass procedures ranging from scalp, face and breast to skin camouflage.
4 SPECIALITY NEEDLES
My four Speciality needles for hair-stroke brows and SMP are the ‘creme de la creme’.
The market has been lacking ergonomic functionality for both of these two important treatments as the needles presently on the market are too thick, have shorter tapers and larger diameter needle tips which allow too much pigment pooling and splash on the skin.
My Speciality needles are the ‘new kids on the block’, delivering greater accuracy and in a faster working time due to their superior ergonomic capabilities.
These unique game-changer needle cartridges have been designed and developed specifically for discerning professionals.
We offer brow technicians two Speciality needle cartridges to enable them to create the most realistic hair-stroke eyebrows possible. This has been achieved by creating smaller than usual diameter needles with an extra long taper, meaning only the very tip enters the skin to deliver precisely the required amount of pigmentation necessary to achieve the perfect hair-stroke.
For scalp SMP technicians, we also offer two Speciality needle cartridges, in textured and non-textured versions for full head microdot coverage and hair density blending. Again, this has been achieved by producing narrower diameter needles with extra long tapers for faster and precise pigmentation to produce super crisp microdots for SMP. The textured version is the absolute must for hair density. The unique coated tip grabs more pigment making each implant instantly visible with a slightly higher saturation, thus speeding up your workflow for greater densification.
9 SAMPLE PACK SELECTIONS
I have created Sample Pack Selections for practitioners to trial which are made up of four strips of ‘Best Buy’ needles; for SMP, eyebrows, eyes, lips, areola and skin colour camouflage, based on my personal experience.
The Sample Pack Selections are tailored for specific procedures and contain the appropriate needle configurations to handle a broad spectrum of techniques. They can deliver fine detail and accuracy where required, as well as faster saturation and impressive shading and pixelation to suit every technician’s style of working, subject to the skill of the practitioner.
